Resources to Find an Internship
There are many great ways to find an internship!  To qualify as an internship, a job must be related to your major and supervised.  The Georgia Tech Division of Professional Practice accepts both paid or voluntary and part-time (20+ hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week) internships.

    • Students must submit an application for the Georgia Tech DoPP Co-op or Internship Program before gaining access to view jobs on P2D2

  3. Internship opportunities at companies that may not have current opportunities listed on P2D2 but do have established internship programs.

  3. Career Fairs and On-Campus Employer Information Sessions: www.career.gatech.edu
    • The largest fair is the Fall Career Fair held for two days in early September followed by the NSBE Career Fair held for two days in mid-January.  There are also numerous major-specific career fairs held every spring.

 

  1. Professional Organizations:  To search by major or area of interest, visit cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/main/organizations/ or  career.gatech.edu/employer/tools/student_orgs.php.  Be sure to check out the student professional organization for your major.  These organizations often host corporate presentations, coordinate student resume banks to share with employers, and have job postings on their websites.
  1. Network with friends, family, professional organizations, professors, academic advisors, church, through volunteer work, with everyone!  If you have a contact who works at a company you’re interested in, be sure to give them a copy of your resume.

 

  1. The Georgia Tech Library (www.library.gatech.edu) offers a wealth of resources to help in your research on companies that may provide internships.

  1. Targeting a specific city?  The local Chamber of Commerce can be a great source for finding local employers (www.chamberfind.com).
