Welcome to the Georgia Tech Internship Program
Experience That Works!
I’m excited that you’ve chosen Georgia Tech as the place where you will pursue your college education, and my staff and I want to help you make the most of your college career.
One way of making the most of your college career will be to participate in the Georgia Tech Internship Program. Your participation in the internship program will be a Signature Experience for you here at Georgia Tech!
The Georgia Tech Internship Program can provide you with real-world work experience directly related to your major, and give you the opportunity to work at one of more than 1,000 employers in the Atlanta area, across the United States, or even around the world. Working an internship can help you make career decisions, develop professional and personal skills, begin the process of networking early, and build your resume. An internship can provide you with a competitive edge in today’s constantly evolving workplace.
Why Should YOU participate in the Georgia Tech Internship Program?
Your participation in the GT Internship program will offer you a myriad of benefits, including:
- Gaining great work experience prior to graduation
- Increasing your understanding of classroom theory through practical experience
- Enhancing your marketability to future employers
- Building a great resume
- Earning a competitive salary
- Understanding the professional workplace
- Exploring career goals and options
- Evaluating your personal strengths and weaknesses
- Networking with other professionals in your field
As a Georgia Tech intern, you will be registered in a tuition-free audit internship course while working, which will allow you to retain your full-time student status. This status will enable you to be retained on your parents' insurance policies and to take advantage of several Institute services, including use of on-campus housing if you are working in the Atlanta area. In addition, registration in the internship course will ensure that there are no interruptions to your Georgia Tech enrollment on your transcript. And, your internship will be noted on your transcript.
I’m looking forward to meeting you. In the meantime, please click on getting started to begin the process of becoming a GT Intern.
Sincerely,
